Question: Who
invented the Dental Revolution™?
Answer: The Dental Revolution
was invented by a European dental surgeon. His objective was
to develop a power toothbrush that always followed the correct
brushing method from gum to tooth. He also wanted to develop
a brush which would help his patients thoroughly brush all the
different surfaces of the teeth efficiently and quickly.
Question: What
are the benefits of using the Dental Revolution™ toothbrush
over the other power toothbrushes on the market?
Answer: The benefits
are considerable. First, the Dental Revolution ensures that
your teeth and gums are always brushed according to the correct
brushing method (from gum to tooth). Second, since the Dental
Revolution brushes both the inside and the outside of your
teeth simultaneously, it brushes the teeth much more thoroughly
(including difficult to reach teeth surfaces, which are often
neglected) and much quicker than other power toothbrushes.
Finally, the Dental Revolution provides a comfortable and efficient
brushing, which leaves the user with a strong sense of cleanliness
and freshness after brushing.
Question: What is the Bass Method?
Answer: The Bass Brushing
method is the brushing technique overwhelmingly recommended
by dentists worldwide. This method consists of brushing from
the gum to the tooth. This ideal movement removes plaque, provides
a healthy massage to the gum, and avoids separating the gum
from the teeth. Hence, it prevents food particles from being
pushed between the gum and the teeth (one of the main causes
of gingivitis).
Question: How long does a single charge last?
Answer: The DR 32 will
run for approximately 20 minutes on a single charge. This corresponds
to approximately 1 week worth of brushing (assuming three brushings
a day for one minute) without requiring re-charging.
Question: Why does it tickle when I brush?
Answer: It is very normal
to feel a tickling sensation in your mouth with the Dental
Revolution during the first few days of use. As your mouth
becomes accustomed to the proper way of brushing, the tickling
sensation will disappear.
Question: Is it normal to experience bleeding of the gums?
Answer: Other brushing
techniques often neglect the gums, making them sensitive and
fragile. Minor bleeding or gum irritations are such indications
and should disappear within a few days as your mouth becomes
accustomed to the proper way of brushing. It is normal to experience
this and should disappear within a few days. During that time
it is preferable to use the soft bristle brush head.
Question: Why does it splash toothpaste when I brush?
Answer: It is very common
to experience some splashing when using an electric toothbrush.
As you continue to use the Dental Revolution™, you will very
quickly learn to close your mouth while brushing. In the mean
time you may want to hold your head down while brushing to
avoid splashing. Turn the unit off before removing it from
your mouth to avoid any unnecessary splashing.
Question: Is the DR 32 suitable for me if I have braces, crowns or dental
work?
Answer: Yes. The DR 32
can be used with braces, crowns and standard dental work such
as fillings, etc.
Question: With
standard toothbrushes or other power toothbrushes, my dentist
told me that it is possible to brush too hard, which
creates damage. Can I press too hard with the DR 32?
Answer: The DR 32’s
unique design with its flexible head self-regulates the pressure
on the teeth and gums. The DR 32 ensures a comfortable level of
pressure is applied to the teeth and gums for maximum efficiency.
Question: Is the DR 32 suitable for my children?
Answer: The DR 32 is suitable for children starting from the age
of 10.
Question: How often should I replace the brush heads?
Answer: It is recommended to replace brush heads every 3 months.
Question: Does
the DR 32 always follow the Bass Method? How does it ensure
this all the time?
Answer: Yes. The DR 32
always follows the Bass brushing method. When you place the
DR 32 inside your mouth to brush simultaneously the inside
and outside of your teeth, the contra-rotating brush heads
brush away from the gum line. When you place it sideways inside
your mouth so each rotating brush head is against your upper
and lower teeth, it still only brushes away from the gum line.
It is truly a fool proof method of brushing your teeth.
Question: If
I share my DR 32 with my family, how can we ensure that the brush
heads
won’t get mixed and we use each others
brushes?
Answer: Each replacement
brush head has an insert-able color pin on the back side. Each
family member chooses a color to insert onto their individual brush
head.
Question: Can
the Dental Revolution™ be used in the shower?
Answer: No. It is not
advised to use an appliance in the shower. In particular, always
be very careful to keep charger in a location
where there is no risk of it falling into water.
Question: Can
I use the Dental Revolution™ while having sore gums or
already infected gums?
Answer: When having sore
or infected gums, you need to exercise caution while brushing
as you would with any toothbrush. If your
gums are infected or sore in places, avoid brushing these areas.
Question: Can
I use the DR 32 with highly sensitive teeth?
Answer: You have to exercise
caution and judgment about this, depending on how sensitive
your teeth are. It is recommended to use a Soft
brush head with sensitive teeth.
Question: Would
it hurt my teeth or gums if I use the Dental Revolution™ more
than one minute per brushing?
Answer: No. It is not a
problem to brush your teeth and gums for over a minute with the
Dental Revolution™. However, when first using
the Dental Revolution™, your teeth and gums may take several
days to get fully used to the new brushing method.
Question: How can I make sure that my teeth are clean after only one
minute of brushing?
Answer: While brushing, you will feel the massage of the gums and
the brushing of the teeth. After brushing, if you pass your tongue
along your teeth, you should feel a fresh and smooth sensation.
Question: How often do I have to brush my teeth with the DR 32?
Answer: As with all other toothbrushes, it is recommended to
brush your teeth after every meal.
Question: Can the bristle heads overheat from prolonged usage?
Answer: No. There is
no risk of overheating of the brush head or bristles from prolonged
usage.
Question: How much toothpaste do I use?
Answer: It is only necessary
to place a small amount of toothpaste on the Dental Revolution™ brush
head. To apply the toothpaste, dampen the brush head, put
a small amount of toothpaste between
the brushes and switch the unit on for several seconds to spread
the toothpaste evenly.
Question: Is
there a firm or coarse brush head I can
purchase?
Answer: No. There are only
Soft and Medium brush heads. Dentists strongly recommend not using “firm” or
"coarse” brush
heads, which can damage the teeth and gums.
Question: Which
brush head should I use, "Soft" or "Medium”?
Answer: This depends
entirely on your personal preference: some people prefer Soft
brushes while others prefer Medium brushes.
Question: Is
flossing still necessary with the Dental Revolution™?
Answer: Yes, it is always
recommended to floss (or to use a small inter-dental brush)
in order to properly clean areas between
the teeth which no toothbrush can fully reach.
Question: How
often should I visit my dentist if the Dental Revolution™ is
so efficient?
Answer: You should visit
your dentist regularly. The difference is that your dentist may
notice an improvement in your gums and the cleanliness
of your teeth due to the Dental Revolution™’s efficiency.
Question: What are the bristles made from?
Answer: The bristles are made of Tynex, which is produced by
Dupont. Dupont is the leading producer of high quality bristles
for toothbrushes.
Question: Why do the bristles start to stick out after only a couple
of weeks of use? Does that mean I need to get a new replacement
head?
Answer: No. The bristles
may look less “neat” after
several weeks of usage, as with all toothbrushes. This is not a
problem and should in no way hinder brushing. It is recommended
changing the brush head every three months.
